Frequently Asked Questions

Montgomery Dental Centre has compiled a list of FAQs to answer all your dental questions. If you cannot find the answer to your question below, please do not hesitate to call us at (403) 452-5115 and we will do our very best to help.

Q: How Do I schedule an appointment?

A: We look forward to hearing from you soon! You can call us directly at (403) 452-5115 to set up an appointment, or you can book an appointment online using our easy-to-fill-out forms. For your convenience, you can choose either an appointment with a cleaning, or one without.

Q: What information will I be required to provide at my initial appointment?

A: Generally, we require that you provide us with basic personal information, which will always remain confidential. This includes your medical and dental history. This is important for our doctors to take into account when planning and providing treatment, in order to ensure your safety. We also ask for your insurance information if you have one.

Q: If I have insurance, will I be required to pay anything?

A: At Montgomery Dental Centre, we follow the latest ADA&C fee guide, and we do our very best to provide an accurate estimate of all insurance discounts for treatment. Please note that there are certain procedures where you will be responsible for paying the remaining portion of treatment. We offer convenient financial options to help you with the remaining portion.

Q: Will I have to have x-rays?

A: Generally, we like to take necessary x-rays, as they can provide us with accurate information about your oral health and help us provide appropriate diagnosis and treatment options in a timely fashion.

Q: What if I’ve recently had x-rays taken?

A: At Montgomery Dental Centre, we are committed to making your visit and treatment as easy as possible. If you’ve recently had x-rays taken elsewhere, we will work with you to contact your previous dental provider and have them forward your x-rays to us.

Q: When should I bring my child to the dentist for their first visit?

A: According to the Canadian Dental Association (CDA) recommendation, you should bring your child to the dentist for their first visit within six months of their first tooth erupting, or by age one if no tooth has erupted by then.
